Location: MV Country Club, 5111 Old Mill Road
Amb. Thomas Pickering, former Under Secretary for Political Affairs ( the top career position at the State Department) and Ambassador to Russia, Israel, and 3 other countries, will give us his perspective on global affairs with an emphasis on the myriad issues of the Middle East, with ample time for Qs&As. This is the second time he has joined us, and we look forward to a great event. We are inviting the community to join us for this special evening, and reservations for seating with or without the $27 dinner (a bargain) should be made with Bruce Malkin at brucemalkin1@gmail.com. If not dining, please plan to arrive at 7:15 to be seated.

Service Project: SNC/CNC Kids to Wolf Trap TheaterTime: 9:00-1:00
Location: Wolf Trap Theater, Chantilly, VA
A large contingent of children from both Sacramento and Creekside Neighborhood Centers will be enjoying a bus trip to Wolf Trap for the Children's Program of song and dance. MVKC is paying all costs for transportation, entrance fees, and snacks for about 50 people.

Service Project: SNC/CNC Trip to Spy MuseumTime: 9:00-1:00
Location: Spy Museum, Washington, DC
About 20 children and escorts are going from both the Sacramento and Creekside Neighborhood Centers for a terrific morning at the Spy Museum in DC. MVKC is paying for transportation, entrance fees, and snacks for everyone.

We will host another popular bingo for the PRS day clients, with the usual $5 gift certificatees to Wal-Mart or McDonalds as prizes, and coffee donated by Starbucks from Mt. Vernon Plaza.
